Hi all,

I was looking at the markings my No7 knife bayonet and came across something that I was unsure of.

It was a small broad arrow with two small circles just below it. After looking at the broad arrow by Skennerton I found it and the text said this “Percentage stamp where 10% of stores have been examined".

I don't fully understand this and was wondering if someone with more knowledge could help me. Also how hard is it to find a bayonet with this stamp, it is the first one I have seen.

Also along the blade was stamped " N 5", I looked up the manufacturing codes and it said "AUTOMATIC TELEPHONE AND ELECTRICAL CO, LIVERPOOLE". Maybe I am looking up the wrong code or have made a mistake, but would this be correct?
