Went to Market Hall Gun Show this afternoon. Lots of guns and lots of people. Prices were very high. Several dealers I talked to said yesterday was very busy with lots more people.
Some examples on prices. Norinco SKS- $600 (nothing special), Yugo SKS from $300 to $400 except that MGS has the same condition for $199, Bulgarian military Makarov $400. AK clones were very high.
MGS does not seem to have raised prices much. So maybe they won't make a killing right now, but it will keep me as a loyal customer. Good for long term business.
Even with most guns overpriced it was still possible to find bargains. I found a Bingham PPSh in .22 with 2 mags for $350 OTD. Picture is below. Saw another one at the show with a $525 asking price.
After I bought it I wandered over to Marshall's table. He had lots of nice old Finn guns, but I only brought enough cash for one gun. I talked with him about 10 minutes and during that time 2 different groups of people asked to take a picture of it. Someone else came and asked if I was selling it. Never had people ask to take a picture of a gun at a show before. Of course they weren't supposed to have cameras, but I didn't see any harm in letting them take pics of it. Marshall made a great buy on something he should tell about himself.
My wife was at the show helping a friend buy a handgun. The friend ended up buying a Taurus 9 shot .22 revolver. That is about as much gun as this particular friend could handle. They ran into Reiver on his way to buy some ammo, but I never connected with him.
The show closed at 4:00 this time, but as I was down to $20 there wasn't much reason to hang around anyway.
