I found a m96 dated 1924 today at the gun show all matching but the sight and cleaning rod the stock disc is marked #1and 6.50 for 275 did i do good
i added some pic.

Congradulations ,you cleaned up with that one . It is one of less than 2,150 M-96's made in 1924 , which is the lowest production year from 1898 to 1925 . The cleaning rods rarely ever match . The rear sight is not to bad either . Does the wood match ? Should be beech .

Very good, Check it for Finnish "SA" marks. I find these late M/96 rifles very interesting. Also any Green paint on the butt plate?

Post some photos when you can.

It is thought that the " KRT " marking is from a military school or academy .
