Naw, it's upside-down. It's a Lambda, meaning it is from Sparta. That's Leonidas' own personal Mosin...;)

I have a Finnish m91. It has a nice two piece stock. Any know what this marking means?
Probably nothing mysterious, inspector's mark. Letters and numbers appear on many wooden stocked military rifles in front of the mag, in back, rear of the tang, front of the top and bottom of the butt plate, etc. Augusta Arsenal was fond of puttin' numbers in all locations when they rearsenaled M1903's.
