I found these at a Civil War relic show this morning.I asked the seller if they were for an early trapdoor. He said he didn't know what the were for,but for $5 each I could have them.I bought all three. They measure 35 9/16 inches long.My cousin has a trapdoor with the M73 rod and it's the same length as these.I would think these are somewhat rare, correct?

By the look of the head and since the rods have a single shoulder, they look to be authentic M1868 ramrods. According to info on the Trapdoorcollector website, the rod should be 35 5/8" You mentioned 35 9/16. Check again the measurement. I'll take measure the one on my M1868 for reference as well. Assuming they are authentic, you paid peanuts for them. Al Frasca sells repro rods for $65.
