How common are M44 carbines with 1943 dates?

+1 this. Aimsurplus had them that were handpicked out of the masses, if they can do that they are not rare but as reptile says slightly uncommon.Only 50,000 were made that year for testing. However when I go cherry picking I find many of them and I would not consider the rare but slightly uncommon.
A long shot but if anyone has a lead on a nice 1943 M44 and would be willing to share it, please let me know. My local shows never have them (only refurb 91/30's) and I've been looking for one to finally complete my M44 collection.
