If this has already been discussed, my apologies. New here, and could not find it.
What do you all consider to be the best (non-gunsmith required) scope mount for the M1A ?
Price would be a consideration as I am not a 'competition' shooter.

I have the 3rd generation mount that I ordered from Springfield and it is rock solid. I did have to put a little lock-tite on the screw threads, but other than that, it was a piece of cake to install.

For rock-solid stability, go with the ARMs #22 mount wiht the ARMs #18 lever rings. It works well with all brands of M1a/M14 receivers (Poly, Norinco, SA, etc) and you can quickly and easily remove a scope and reattach it without losing zero at all. The ARMs system incorporates a "3-point" mount system that will not move. Also, to shoot iron sites, you simply flip off the levers and remove the scope. The mount won't interfere with the sites at all.

Just my humbel opinion. If it's good enough for the military, it's good enough for me for sure!
