Just bought this sling from a local gun shop at first I thought it was a repo and after some investigation I think it is legit. If it is correct I am embarressed to tell how much I paid for it. What do you all think? OBTW it is stamped G&K 1918 J.J.O.L.

Damn no sh*t! .......... and it is is great shape for a sling almost 100 years old. would this work better on a garand, 1903 or a 1917 Eddy?

NRA - That's an extremely nice sling, about as good as it gets these days. IMO, put it on the nicest (or earliest) 1903 Springfield you own. It'll add a lot of class to a classic. There are other (and later) slings that can work on the 1917 or Garand.

I'd recommend removing the verdigris around the hardware with a little naphtha on a moist, not saturated, soft cloth or cotton swab. Verdigris will overtime compromise the leather to hardwear fit, ie , loosen.
