For all you guys who recently received a M1 carbine from the CMP you can get a really good cleaning kit package from sportsmansguide. The one I received is WWII dated.

I ordered a 2nd cleaning kit and it arrived yesterday evening. From the markings on the back of the cleaning pouch I asume it is Italian. The case and rods are brand new and the markings are:

CUSTODIA
BACCHETTA NETTATOIA M1
A2-008-0652

I guess when the CMP got all the carbines from Italy, the cleaning kits and magazines were sold off to the importers.
