I could be wrong, but this looks like a dead ringer for a Swede trigger guard assembly, and I can’t place the markings on it. Research has done me no good, so here we are! What do you gents make of this?

That is NOT a Swedish trigger guard anyway . The Swedes never numbered the trigger guard on the outside forward tang & did not use letters in the serial number .. They were numbered on the back rear of the mag well with the last 3 digits of a serial number . The Swedish floor plates were numbered in the center along with a Crown . Probably German contract Mauser of some kind . Try asking on the Mauser Forum . They have a broad view on the subject .
