Does anybody know if the reproduction LSR upper mount will fit on an orginal base. Also my BCD 4 sn is 41402 without letter suffix, which type LSR would be correct, type 1, 2, or 3

I think type 1 with the machined rings would be correct.

From my understanding the repros are supposed to be made using real mounts as guidelines so technically the repos will fit a real mount. Now the mounting hardware such as pins and screws may not be compatible.

For 20 years collecting and studying 98k sniper, i have never see "thick receiver" on this serial range!

Do not worry, this is not an orginal sniper, I am in progess of making a repro. Did not in any way mean for it to be taken as an orginal.
