I have an LP 42 flare gun.

It is marked on the left side of the frame with the serial number and manufacturer.

It has no other markings on it. Was this actually issued/used by the Germans during WWII or is it a left over or post war flare gun?

Was not sure if the lack of other markings means anything other than it was not marked for some reason.

Late War certainly WW2 German. I have seen these with Israeli markings as they were used after the war also. I have 2 of them . Nice flare guns, BB

You are missing the Waa German Military proof which is stamped on the left side of the frame, next to the chamber area. Look for the highest spot on the gun.

Probably just from being bounced around. Would like to think it is Israeli issue.
