Are you saying that you personally have taken apart 26 carbines and 25 of them were mismatched? And that's all because of the barrel extension? I guess I've had much better luck with the carbines I had or came across.

BTW an unmolested M-94 carbine can be rather valuable. If all the numbers on the parts match and it's in good shape.

Have a ‘94 thst unfortunately had the stock cut down 🤥… A cousin had his gunsmith make a nice stock out of a ‘96 stock … BUT it still isnt the same… Ive been l👀king for years but a replacement stock can not be found 😟

My 1894/14 also appears to be all matching except the butt plate. Anyone have an idea when that part would be so commonly switched?

Several years ago I saw a 94 cavalry carbine barreled action cobbled into a pre64 M70 stock. It looked horrible and was priced $800 if I remember correctly

Now this is really bad. A 94 carbine with part of a k98 butt grafted on. And yes it looked worse in person. I picked this creature up at a LGS for all of a $100.00 All the metal had not been messed with. Have no idea why not. Just had to have this truely unique piece.

Get a cheap m96 stock and fix that thing, it's painful to look at...
