First off, As a general rule I abhor modifying surplus guns from original condition.
HOWEVER, this is an IJ 70 commercial pistol, not a military pistol. It's also mine. So if this offends you, please "move along"...
Secondly, it was in rough cosmetic shape, so I got it cheap and didn't care since it was gonna be shooter and save wear on my EG Mak.
Internals are great and it functions very well, but my eyes aren't able to pick up the front sight even when painted with white or yellow.
I want to put a fiber optic front sight on. I have done this to my Glocks, etc and it works well enough.
I am thinking I could grind down the front sight and tap a hole to thread in a glock sight or similar.
Has anyone done this or have any worthwhile input?
