Went to the range Wed. and tried out some of the new martini ammo from Ten-X. It has a .462 dia. bullet. These were shot at 75 yds as I could not see the target and the sights at 100 with the MK IV. The LSA has a scope on it. The 4th shot was called, I believe with some more ammo I could shoot one ragged hole at 75 with the LSA

Look what I did.

Drifter Mike,
If you have a proper bayonet to fit your LSA, try a 6 O'clock hold. Your will be very suprised. Your POA will be raised to the 'pumpkin on the post' position. Martini-Henry rifle that is.

The LSA was sporterized long ago, the for-end was cut down and reshaped. I made a mount that takes the place of the rear sight, using the original holes and screws. That way, should I ever come across and original for-end I can restore it to its former glory. Now I do have a bayonet for a martini around here somewhere, if I can find it I will see if it fits the MKIV.
