It's not Nazi, if that's what you are thinking. Looks like some kind of Indian folk art. Swastikas were used by many cultures through the ages until that one jerk ruined them for everybody.
Local auction item, what do you make of it?
Kind of an odd item and was wonding if anyone knew what some of the markings are?

I say Boy Scouts of America.
There is probably a B that is hidden by the pic.
The Swastika was of course a widely accepted and used symbol of good-luck and prosperity with the bboy-scouts, before the NAZI party used it to demonstrate its desire for "Good luck and Prosperity".... which carries all the negative connotations it has today.
