I've been reloading for over 40 years successfully.

However, for some reason, my loads for the 380acp just are not accurate.

They are O.K.; They group good enough to save your life at 25 yards; But that's about it.

I've tried a number of combinations & they all seem to be about the same--Mediocre.

These tests have been with NIB pistols fired from a pistol rest. As many variables are removed as possible.

If any of you have a personal load for the 380acp that's worthwhile, I'd really like to hear what it is.

Thank you.

3.2 gr. WW231 pushing an 88 gr. JHP has been my only load for the past 30 years.

Let's face it, some .380's just aren't target handguns. My Dad has several ancient .380's that were designed for close quarters defensive use, and aren't much for accuracy beyond arms' length.

OTOH, my sole .380, a Bernardelli, has adjustable sights, and impressed me with its' accuracy. My best handloads in Dad's guns still produce so-so groups on paper.

Thanks a-lot!!

I've found out that there was a problem with the "starfire" nose of the bullet I was using.

I'm trying some other bullets now-----we shall see.

Take Care,
