I find myself loading more than reloading since I fire off only about ten percent of what I load. I have a great supply of free range brass (the local police qualify there) so I find myself loading instead of buying live ammo. My centerfire sporting rifle ammo I truly reload as I see no reason to have large quantities of that around. I was just wondering how many of my contemporaries here find themselves compelled to load just because there is free brass available?

Brass is the last concern these days for reloaders, unless they are shooting French 7.5X54, Japanese 7.7, Italian 6.5X52 etc. Bullets and powder are the limiting factor. Start with good brass, e.g. Prvi Partizan, and neck size, and cases are reusable many times.
