I grabbed a 1968 Izhevsk kit build from Legion USA 2 years ago, it was among the last ones they had. It's a nice one with blonde furniture and mostly matching numbers (only selector and recoil spring don't match). The only thing that I don't like about it is the cerakote finish. Some of the parts retain the original paint over park such as the gas tube, bolt carrier, selector, ect, but the rest is that dark grey flat cerakote. Also, it was built with a GM barrel, and the FSB is an earlier non lightning cut one. No big deal though, I think if I could just get a nice paint job for it, I'd be happy. What do you all recommend? From what I've read, paint will not stick to cerakote. I'm leaning towards having a gunsmith do it, because I really don't want to screw it up.
