I've just found a relatives medal from the Tweede Vryheidsoolog (2nd Anglo-Boer war). In an account of the 2nd Worcestershire they say that the common weapon of the British troops was the Lee-Metford MkII. What are the chances of finding one?

Chances are slim and expensive, but not impossible nor outlandishly cost prohibitive. Set a couple grand to the side so you're ready to jump, and good luck on the hunt.
