I picked up this leather sling and, after some searching, haven't been able to ID it. It looks like a SVT or PPSh type, but I dunno. It measures 55 inches long from tip to tip and a little over an inch wide on the middle portion. What might I have here?

Looks like SVT38/40.

Too narrow I think for SVT38 or 40, and the end straps are squared off (another PPSh sling trait). I'd vote for early PPSh-41 sling.

Vic or SSWikinger would probably know the answer.

Its a PPd40 sling. Maybe an early PPsh41 sling.

Are the rare? I don't see too many leather slings from this period but I'm far from an expert regarding sling types...

Thanks everybody! Although still a PPSh sling, it still looks very cool on my SVT-40.

With the way things were mixed and matched in the field during WWII, that sling on your SVT would not be out of place.
