Here is the Nagant I picked up at SOS last weekend. It is a very nice example of a Nagant revolver from late 1930. It is completely matched and original. NO import marks at all! It's even still dirty inside from years of non-use!

The early 1930 revolvers have a diamond 'C' and star Acceptance Commission mark.
Late 1930s have a circled 'C' and star AC mark.

Note the "fat star" OTK marks which were used in 1929 into the 1930s.

It still has the pre 1932 round front sight and 'V' shaped rear sight as well as the early style 'V' checker pattern on the spur of the hammer.

There are still nice guns out there for reasonable prices!!

Good pickup...Joe. Probably had to pay a premium just because it was at SOS... :)

Not really. At $400 I paid a bit more than I wanted, but it is a really nice example. 1930s aren't that hard with a bit under 60,000 being produced but you don't see them like this one - good blue all over, even on the barrel. I would have been much happier at $350, but I didn't have a late 1932.

For comparison:

Early 1930 - all original. Early narrow diamond 'C' and star AC mark same as very late 1929.

Mid 1930 still narrow diamond 'C'

Unusual narrow diamond 'C' with star behind the diamond. This piece has had the front sight replaced.
