Wife is on my --well you know what part of my anatomy she is on--about buying guns--so this was the last gasp before I take the pledge and climb on the wagon.

Got a trio of Swedes last week at an online auction as a last , final act of defiance

Good choices... but I would've found 2 m/96 instead of 2 m/38. The m/96 is just more classy and has a lot more vintage ambience.. if ya know what I mean.

With the Ag42b, two m/38, one m/96..... you left out a m/94 carbine...? That probably would've been pushing it:).

You'll fall off it eventually! :D You shouldn't resist. Save your energy trying to find a way around the wife's scrutiny. It's your only hope.

Those are some splendid looking Swedes you have there CalFed.

Ya Know, I don't think my wife minds my collecting a bit.

I have a couple of side jobs to pay for my guns. And I just give her my real job check.
Besides I figure the value of my guns just about doubles every 8 to 10 years...and that's one hell of a lot more than I can say about my 401K.

Although, I would regret cashing them in a lot more. :D:D:D

Good luck staying on the wagon Calfed!:D I just bought another m/96 from Allan, just 'cuz it has an intersting FSR stamp on the stock.

I just keep telling my wife that it beats investing in the stock market.

..and a Modelo 1912 Chilean Mauser.

Figured I better make it worth the gasp, since it was the last one for a while.

I would have taken Dutchman's advice and gotten a Husqvarna m/96, but then again, I've been wanting that one for quite a while. Regardless, you seem to be going out with a bang!

Would love to have a Husky M96--but I didn't see one at the auction.

I'm pretty well fixed for m96's and wanted to get a husky m38 before my better half moved in and closed me down.

There were several M/94's, but I was operating on a budget :)

re:

Sorry to hear that your'e getting on the wagon and going cold turkey from Swedish mausers, especially. I'm actually getting a 1905 vintage CG model 96 ready to sell sometime in January. I'm going to miss your buying potential!
