Question, I have a L block Mas 36, its all matching numbers including the wood, it shows no signs of going through a the classic French rebuild - no grey parkerzing, no "P date" stamps- but the stock cartouche is dated April 1951....could this in fact be a very early arsenal rebuild? or were they using older leftover parts from te previous decade that late in new build rifles?

The script prefix letters are not easy to read. Among the most common confusions : L and Q. If your "L" looks a little like a "2", it is in fact a "Q". And April 1951 is just the perfect period for the beginning of Q serials.
