Hi my name is robert and i am new to this forum. I have a question, i recieved from an old friend a krag rifle dated on the front of the reciever 1923, all the metal looks good but the stock was cracked under the magazine is there any place one could purchase a stock for this rifle, and also there are no markings stating the calibur, anyone have any ideas, for a stock and the calibur it might be.

What nationality? By the 1923 date I assume its either danish or norweigan. The danish would be in 8mm Danish Krag, which is near impossible to find, and if it is norwiegian, it will be in 6.5x55 swedish. As for the stock, I know of no sources for stocks for non-US krags.

Custom reloaded 8x58R Danish Krag ammo can be obtained from Bob Shell at www.obsoleteammo.com . It is quality ammo, I have used quite a bit of it.
