Wanted to show everyone a Type 99 I found last week at a gun show. It's a 24th series Kokura with a 3 screw front band that is not drilled for a cleanig rod. I just love the chatter marks on the stock.
Nice rifle! I like the chatter marks on those later stocks, and the front band with no hole drilled in the stock for a cleaning rod is pretty neat too!
Problem with the pics is the file size. Very small.
I can not see a stock repair but if you mean the seam running from front to back just above the sling swivel, that is normal stock splice to make max use of wood.
