"Last Hope Island" by American author Lynne Olson records the escape from 7 countries of eminently noted persons to Britain during WW2, which includes King Haakon.
Can be a recommended read.

King Harald's Guard, Drill Troop and Band performed excellently at the Queen's Platinum Celebration. Apart from some of the cringe commentary and interviews, there were some great displays, King's Troop RHA, Omanis, Azerbaijanis, Trinidad & Tobago, Indians, Swiss, UK military, the 4 home countries and a plethora of beautiful horses put through their paces, etc. The Mounties were the Queen's Escort.
