I am putting together somewhat of a collection/displayof the Kennedy Assassination and of course that involves an M38 Carcano, so I wanted to share it in this forum. I don't have pics of everything yet but I wanted to post the pics that I do have, as several of my friends have asked me to. I know I will probably catch some flak from different ones, so just know that it is certainly not my intention to offend anyone whatsoever. I just wanted to share my little piece of history. Your comments are welcome. This is PART of my collection so far:

Chipper, I was part of the security detail assigned to guard King Baudouin of Belgium during the funeral. Got my face in books and magazines (behind the King). So now you can say you know a guy who was there...Best of luck with your interesting project. Ralph

That's incredible ! Its an honor having you reply to the thread. Can you tell me specifically which magazines you were in? I would like to research that. BTW....where are you located? Thanks again for your reply. :)
Four Days (United Press International/American Heritage), pages 108-109, look at Baudouin and Haile Selassie; I'm the guy wit the glasses whose face is partially behind Selassie's head. The Torch is Passed (The News/Associated Press), page 69, similar photo, only this time my face is partially hidden by the guy between Baudouin and Selassie. There must have been a dozen different variations of that basic shot of the group as it left the White House and walked to St. Matthew's Cathedral. Ralph
Hi Chipper58,

Very nice collection and an excellent recreation of the LHO rifle. I know you were very persistent in getting that rifle right.
I am happy that you finally got everything posted.
A truly top notch collection that deserves a spot in some museum.

That is awesome sir. That must have been a very emotionally moving experience for you. Thank you for sharing. I will most definitely research these materials and in fact I think I already have one of them. Thank you again.
