This 30 shot .22 Magnum is supposed to be out in the next month or so. Is there any advance word on it? Thanks.

Only thing i heard is some say it would be better then the FN 5.7 Pistol! However everything Kel-tec has a Service life of 6000. rounds and all the ever made takes 1-2 yrs. to update and upgrade!
So i would be cautious!
I'm watching this also. I'll be down for one.
I'm hoping there will be an extended/thread barrel available
(for my can) and later a .22lr conversion.
:)
A bit about it in the April, 2010 RIFLEMAN (arrived at my house yesterday). In th Article on new stuff for his year, the paragraph on Kel-Tec says:

"Kel-Tec's new PMR-30 .22 WMR handgun operates by a unique, hybrid blowback/locked-breech system compatible with a variety of rimfire ammuniion. The system adjusts between blowback and locked-breech based on the pressure produced by the cartridge. Fitting flush with the pistol's Zytel grip, the double-stack magazine holds 30 rounds. Fiber-optic front and rear sights are standard. www.kel-tec-cnc.com".

Sounds moderately interesting, but i guess I'd like to see one in the living plastic and take it out for a test-drive before I bought. Wonder of you could get a kit for 5mm RF Mag? That might be interesting. And of course 22 LR, which would be useful....
Saw one at a local gunshop last week. Kinda looks like a cross between the five-seven and a Grendel. Hopefully it'll work better than the latter used to.
I thought the Grendel was a neat idea when it hit the streets 20 years ago. Sold a couple out of my shop but never kept one for myself. The antis had a fit back then over the Grendel's magazine capacity. I'm guessing they will defecate on themselves when they hear about the Kel-Tec.
UPDATE:
I emailed Kel-Tec asking about any plans for an threaded/extended barrel
as well as a .22lr kit and they responded:
"...no plans at this time, sorry."

The description in the RIFLEMAN suggests that, whatever Kel-Tec says right now, the design was made with .22LR as an option in mind - that part about "hybrid blowback/locked breech depending on pressue", eh?

Bet that a competent 'smith could take care of your letch for an extended, threaded barrel to take a can - just be prepared to pay...

Yeah, that'd be pricey!

If done right, yeah, I expect it would be. But if you just have to have it....

This is the first one I've seen reported "in the open" . Was someone buying it ? Recall the price ?

Thanks

Didn't notice price as I wasn't interested in the piece. Local dealer usually adds 10 -- 15% to MSRP anyway. Since he likes to buy one of everything new that comes out, somebody usually has to be first on the block to own one. Probably sold by now, but will check on friday when I make my weekly visit.
