Hi, mates !

Received this, particular, KaBar -clone quite a while ago.
IMHO it´s a knife, manufactured by KIFFE.

As far as I know, such knives were, (private purchased), GI -issued, even still in NAM !

The schabbard is an WWII -one.

I´ve heard, such knives, manufactured by KIFFE, even were in use in the IDF in sapper units !

Does any of you guys have further informations regarding this pattern knives, (probably ?), manufactured by KIFFE ?

Thx. in advance,
R.

The US military did contract with Kiffe Japan to make bayonets and the Ka-Bar type knife into the Vietnam war era.

The scabbard is not original, it's a US WWII US Navy Mark 2 scabbard.
The Kiffe knives came with a dark brown/black leather sheath.
It's possible someone managed to get a Navy scabbard as a replacement for the leather sheath.

Kiffe knives and bayonets were not up to the quality of American issued bladed weapons but were acceptable for issue.
