the norwegian stocks are indeed original ww2 german manufacture. the norwegians lined the original s.n. out on the butt plate(if it had one) and stamped their own number during the conversion to 30-06. they smeltered the metal and the stocks are being sold.

the seller of these stocks will not be getting any more and when they are gone then where will we find them? if you need one then NOW is the time to get it.

Yes, the mag well is ever so SLIGHTLY lengthened - I am taling not even 1/8th inch.

Every stock with the exception of ONE I got from Mario was superb, with 2 being almost NEW UNISSUED condition. Just have to ask him fgor detail shots to make your selection. I ask him for a specific code, he selects all he has of that code then photographs my particular detail areas - bolt recess, inletting top, markings, etc.

Despite what some say, PRIME examples can be had. Disbelieve the MYTH that all are scraped, sanded etc, as it is hogwash. A LOT are, but then examples like this can be had...

Beautiful walnut stock Vulch, was it flat or cupped butt plated and was it that clean when you received it? Those Oberndorf wood workers did really good work and took a lot of pride in how they did it.
