Hey folks. I just want to share the two K31s I purchased from Simpson. I originally placed an order on AIM surplus for a beech and a walnut expecting a import mark under the barrel and canceled when I saw the abomination that century place upon them. The Simpson import mark is very small and on the side of the receiver. Very difficult to see unless you get the right lighting.

there they be! The import mark can only be viewed and photographed well if it is in direct sunlight like pluto's pictures. Other wise its near invisible - like the last picture.

Comparison to Centuries for future reference:

Good buy !
Mr. Simpson always goes to CH to look in person for the stuff he buys, he is one of those conservative guys that pay attention in investing in a good relationship with the customer and after that a perfect after-sales service, love that and me and my dearest have met him and his wife many times in CH, it was only last Month that we did so again at the Lucerne gun show.

I recently acquired two K31's, a beech and a walnut. Both are matching, neither had troop tags. The walnut one is defaced with the billboard importer mark. I put some rounds through the beech and it shoots delightfully.

Last night I stumbled upon this beauty at a local sporting goods store on consignment for $300

All matching and in like new overall condition. The keg handles looked new. A non matching bayonet was also included. I bought it!

That G1911 looks nice, but also looks like the wood has been refinished. Possibly the metal, as well.

That's up to you as you could have done your homework way before purchasing, their stock is changing all the time and they do have a huge choice of Swiss rifles that are described and shown in a excellent way on their website...

Guisan like to see you post some pictures of a gun show there .What's for sale and typical prices .
Gun shows in CH you mean, I posted many at our forum during the past years and I stopped that because I want people to come over to visit one themselves at least one time. I'll show you the way and you are able to get in the day before the regular public does. Next time is March/April 2015.
Average flight cost are $ 900 pp and I can see for a friendly priced roof and bed for you, after some 50 years I know my way best in CH.
