I haven't been a member long, but I didn't need much time to realize the wealth of knowledge here. I'm far from being an expert, but I do know a thing or two about a thing or two. I've seen that some know very little, while others have literally written books. Anyways, one thing led to another and it got me wondering what it is members do for a living.

I have been retired for six years, but I used to work as a computer programmer. I got started with Mausers right before I retired in order to have a hobby. My knowledge is narrow, Argentine and Spanish Ludwig Loewe Mausers, but I have dug deep!y into old Spanish newspapers from 1890 to 1898.

I retired from a career as a welder, welder inspector, and welding educator. (gmaw, smaw, gtaw, saw, fcaw and more). Then I taught various welding classes part time at the junior college level, as well as working full time as a high school industrial arts teacher. I collect lots of stuff, but my real focus is Stevens boy's rifles.

Retired boat driver, Tugs, crew boats, Pilot boat, passenger ferries. Got into repair and drydock operations.( more security)
Retired again but got drug back to work kicking and screaming as my buddy couldn't find any good help.
Spent all of my working life on the waterfront.
Collect any old firearms and neat stuff.
