I snapped this picture of a Kumho Tire sign with graphic representation.

Looks a lot like the common Jinsen Arsenal inspection proof to me.

Info? comment? ideas?

Maybe Jinsen arsenal is alive and well in Korea, making tires for us!

I checked company history, started in 1960 at Yang Dong, Gwangju City. Is that anywhere near Inchon or Sosa Industrail District? If not, it's too bad....cuz they ripped off Jinsen's inspection mark!

Gwangju, or Kwangju City is the capital of South Jolla Province. It is many, many klicks south of Inchon and located on the sw part of the ROK penninsula.

It kind of tickles me to see Garfield presented as a "Junior Member". heehee.
That aside, boy you know your Korea !
By the way, the Jinsen inspection mark is the Katakana "fu", and although that mark on the Kumho sign looks similar, that subtle angle makes it a different mark.
