Watched movie today. Clearly obvious that the rifle taken from Japanese soldier by John Wayne was a Kraq. Quite a few shown.

They also featured prominently in the original "King Kong" movie. The sailors who attempted to rescue Faye Ray were armed with a mixture of Krags and M92 Winchesters. I wonder how many are still at the bottom of that lake on Skull Island???

In the film "Gunga Din" all the British troops used Krag rifles and/or "school carbines" while the Thuggees were armed with Trapdoor Springfields. I guess that's what happens when you try and make a film about 19th century India in the California desert???

The war was still on when "Fighting Seabees" was made. Not many Arisaka's made it from Iwo to Hollywood. :D The Japanese weren't "real" either as they were behind barbwire.
