Looking for information on the large flag covered in kanji on the right of this photo. Sorry that it's taken at an angle as it makes it more difficult to see but a narrow hallway prevented a better photo.
I'm curious if the kanji 'look right' (i.e. WW2 era or postwar??) and what it basically might say or be for, such as retirement, etc.
It's a larger flag, probably 8 X 10 ft, perhaps somewhat more, and has kind of a 'plastic-like' feel to the material (?)
