Strange how both the canvas and leather cases have the large loop in the middle (as well as the lower belt) yet I've not seen any evidence of the upper belt/sling attachment on the leather cases. The top cap of the leather one I had, had this partial inspection mark.

Rob - looks like partial Kokura (小).
