Hi all,

Here is another of my Japanese Army Lanterns. It is candled powered signal lantern.

I presume that it might have had at some stage some coloured lenses that would've been slipped in front of the glass lens for signalling.

That would have been me.
I had it eons ago and sold it to somebody in Oregon for $15. It was pretty neat.
The case was real heavy leather, and it had some tools.
The light was real wimpy for signalling, but what they had, apparently.
