Greetings everybody. Picked up a great Japanese Box that was sent home from the war. What i really like about it is the US GI did not alter anything to the box or make repairs(atleast from what i can see). Has a great looking lid showing a list of contents and nice approval/passed stamps.

Im curious as to what Japanese Ammo was originally stored in this box. Has anybody seen this type of ammo box before? It seems to also have stamps on the one side handle. Thanks for any help on this guys. Appreciate it alot.

Regards,Mike

I have an identical box that was also used to send stuff home. On mine a piece of paper was taped over the top with the addresses on it. The only bummer on mine is someone removed the period stamps :(
