I've recently got one from SOG. Tomorrow will go to the range to see how it shoots. But it shows quite a bit of finish wear, although the bore is mirror-bright.
J&G is short on mags AFAIK, SOG sells theirs with 1 additional mag. As to the appearance I think you won't see much difference between the two.

For a long time due to a serious issue with a Jungle Carbine I had nothing to do with SOG. However with the supply of the nice ones drying up and everyone talking how great these are I ordered one for the wife as a handgun for her CHL and to check off the last item on her Christmas list. I am not a big fan of the host of Eastern European pocket service pistols that have flooded in over the years but out of the box I was impressed. Yes it had some holster wear on the sharp edges on the front of the slide and the rear sight assembly but the most impressive thing was it's slick handling charachteristics and size. I have very small hands for a guy my size but this pistol feels and handles great and has the either side slide and mag release. If I could post a pic I would. Brand new magazines and holster for what it is worth. If you do SOG definitely get the 10.00 hand select as it really is an issue with them.

I got mine from J&G. The first one had an issue with the trigger so I returned it under their 30 day warranty and they sent me a new one which I got from the FFL yesterday.

On one hand, it cost a lot more than I unticipated ($30 to send the old one back and then the FFL fee for the new gun) but at least I was not stuck with a bad gun.

Funny, I've had the opposite experience. :) The gun I got from SOG was defective (worn frame). I tried to fix it and missed the 30-day return deadline. I called SOG, told them about the issue and they agreed to exchange it anyway. So, I'm sending them mine tomorrow. In the meantime, I got another CZ-82 from J&G, and was a very good gun, with practically 100% finish, a nice holster (not the yellow one SOG sends out), though just one magazine...

Got one from Centerfire last week. Wrapped in plastic bag... Dripping with oil... But it passed its function check and this weekend it goes to the range. We shall see,but it looks to be in great shape mechanically, all issues are cosmetic.

Gunboard sponsor Military Gun Supply (http://www.militarygunsupply.com/shop2/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=14_18&products_id=139) still had some CZ82s in stock as of a few minutes ago. $200 for one with two mags, Czech military holster, cleaning rod, lanyard. The one I bought from them turned out to be a 1990 model in excellent mechanical condition. The painted finish is good (better than most I've seen), with most of the wear on the high points and edges, where holster rub is worst.

Odd thing, the holster came set-up for left side (the military holster is ambidexterous -- you make it R or L side by changing the placement of the spare mag and cleaning rod).

At about $30-35 for a spare magazine, J&G providing only one was a major factor in my not buying the pistol there.
