The frame has the Israeli star of David and military property mark. The frame and barrel appear to be Israeli made as they show casting voids that would not have been accepted in UK production. The hammer and latch spring have a small broad arrow leading me suspect that some British parts were recycled. I wonder if the 4GP2 marking might indicate the manufacturer?

I have a similar example, quite difficult to find, I would say rare in the USA

I believe so, I have to dig it out of storage.
