Does the line line up with the gas tube that protudes fron the top of the barrell? If it does its the hole in your barrell for your gas port. The port sifens off gas from the barrel which pushes your piston in the tube and cycles the action.

Yes it does. It does line up to the gas tube protruding from the top of the barrel

The hole is actually drilled at a 45 degree angle.
When the AK-74 in 5.45 was being developed they found the oval shaped hole would shave the smaller 5.45 bullets, so they changed the gas block to a 90 degree so the hole would be round and not so long.
This also made it easier to drill the hole in the barrel.

My Chicom AK came with a reamer tool designed to clean out the gas port. I haven't used it in over 10,000 rounds so I'm thinking it not really necessary.

But I will say HKKollector, non-roller lock rifles can be confusing to us Germans. LOL.

Ive only used the reamer on ak74 rifles. My Tantal especially. The ak74 surplus ammo is by far the filthiest dirtiest ammo ive ever encountered beyond black powder. Other than that the reamer is designed as your cleaning rods handle
