I posted this on the Big Scope snipers thread but I think it is getting lost in the shuffle.

I just ordered an IO Inc. repro PE sniper and would like some pictures and shooting reports from those that already have them.

Thanks in advance,
Meinander

IO PE Reproduction...

I have one that I recieved last year from IO. It is in excellent condition and is a very good shooter. I like it very much. I have been waiting for the weather to cool off a bit before I go back to the range. It is no fun to shoot when the temp is 100+ which it does quite a bit here in AZ. I have attached 2 photos of my PE. Bob

They are really nice and mine shoots pretty good-better then I can shoot I'm sure-about 3" groups at 100m with surplus on a cold windy day.

Thank you both for the replies.

Vic,
I read your review, but the pictures are no longer there - after the migration to the new board.

According to Leah at IO, the one I am getting is the last repro PE that IO has and they have no plans to sell more. I was concerned about getting the bottom of the barrel, but she reassured me and said it is the sample they carried to show at the gun shows and is really good.

I wonder why they have no plans to sell more. I suspect that at 2X the cost of the PU repros, the PE repros do not sell very well.

Regards,

IO sold one at the Hickory NC show Saturday. It was the only one they had there and I got there after it was gone. The ones I have looked at are pretty nice. The thing that always bugged me about all of the PE replicas was the rifles were any year and mostly Izhevsk. Of coarse the same thing happens with the PU replicas, any year and any maker.
