I remember reading about how Russian paratroopers used these rifles to storm the Bastille in 1943. :laugh:

come on guys, It's clearly a rare east german variant. Just look at the sling! In fact, based on the front sling swivel and the side folder stock, this is without a doubt from an EG palace guard rifle of the famous Brandenburg division. You will recall that in the 1950's, the "Brandenburgers" provided security for visiting Soviet notables, such as Stalin himself.
