Does anyone know what caliber of shell this is? And if it is a Japanese shell? This shell was on a stripper clip with other shells in an ammo pouch.

Looks like a 6.5mm ball round but a few measurements would be helpful to be sure.

The red case mouth sealant and the three primer crimps seem consistent with the 6.5mm Jap cartridge.

What is the diameter of the bullet? That would help explain it a lot. But most likely it is the 6.5mm variety.
