Found it at the range, headstamp is F A 11 09. Im only looking to know has it has an indentation in the case that i've never seen before, for a belted firearm perhaps?

That was quick. looks just like it. I think the one i have has been used as a dummy round alot, the primer has a light strike and the are a LOT of marks on the case from chambering and extracting. These don't hapen te be worth anything?

According to the site I referenced "Gallery rounds were, as their name implies, for training purposes on ranges not equipped for the full service round. In the U.S. there was quite a bit of experimentation around WWI though specimens of these tests are virtually impossible to find."

Check my post after yours. I just picked up 9 of the second one in.
