Why would you want to ruin the finish of your Makarov by using one of these? If you buy one and don't use it, I guess that's OK.

Interesting holster - I am tempted.
Too bad the guy in the video decided to cock the "Mah-ka-rov" [sic] before holstering it at the beginning of the show - Then he suggests people "stay safe" at the end? Ouch!

It basically is an update of the Fobus Roto-Paddle with a neato locking system. I have one with both the paddle and belt attachment which you can swap out. It sits too far out from the body for effective concealment for my tastes, but it would work well for a range holster which is what I am saving mine for if I ever need one. If this one is as thick in the cant adjustmen/rotot area, and from what I see on the video it looks to be, it will be similar and sit the holster away from the body too far for at least my taste in a CC holster.


Another thing with kydex, or hard plastic, is any grit turns into sand paper against the finish, there is no place for it to get pushed into like with leather and nylons which can minimize grit damage by allowing it to slip deeper into the fibers. I have seen some really nice pistols and knives scratched in kydex that was not kept VERY clean and immediately cleaned if gotten sandy/dirty.

The EG that I use for daily carry has plenty of finish wear. I use a leather IWB holster. I don't care what happens to the finish of that one because it's not there to look pretty. It's there as an emergency tool that I hopefully never have to use. The two more EG's in my safe are for looking pretty.
