That's a real collection of military talent for sure. But I doubt they could do any better.

Consider the differences in Iraq from those guys war. They cannot isolate and destroy enemy armies. They cannot identify and destroy the enemy's bases of supply. They cannot destroy their economic support structure.
And what of support of their nation's general population and their own political structure???
No. I doubt they could do much better.

If only these guys were here

The war in Iraq would be different.
Yeah...All the mosques and temples would either be leveled or turned into casinos or officer clubs.

Add todays politicians, news agencies, and leftist war protestors - and I doubt it. Can you imagine Iwo Jima today? D-Day? Imagine a death total in every newspaper and radio broadcast then? How about reports on the innocent civilians being killed everyday - Dresden for instance? It would be impossible to fight a WWII style war now days.

Ok. it looks like Generals Mark Clark, Patton, Ike, Omar Bradley and ??
can anyone ID the rest of the group ? Are some British officers in row 2 ?

My bad..Here's what I found after a brief internet search. All US officers apparently
Front row: Simpson, Patton, Spaatz, Eisenhower, Bradley, Hodges, Gerow; back row (left to right)--Stearley, Vnadenberg, Smith, Weiland, Nugent
