Hi all,

i am hoping someone can tell me more about this mount, specifically what scope it was meant for.

I was told it was a NV mount, but there is no way a PVS2 fits on it…

Ideas?

A pvs-4 will fit that grove

Looks like it will also fit the Eyal scope but I don't know if they ever used the Eyal on the M14.

Here's a similar optic used in Taiwan....maybe the Israelis did use the Eyal on the M14?

IDF has had AN/PVS-2 NV. I don‘t know though if this would work with this mount.

I think the PVS-2 uses a different mount that has a side plate like the Galil PVS-2 mount.

This isn't mine but it shows the back of the PVS-2 mount for the Galil.

The rail portion of Berserk3r's mount sits pretty far back from the mounting location on the rifle so it makes me think it would be for a shorter optic than the giant PVS-2 and PVS-4 optics.

The PVS-4 does have the base that would fit into this rail which is like the M16 carry handle.
