From ebay.

Looks like a Czech or Austrian blade, but have never seen this maker mark before. No CSZ's, etc. Sorry, but no specs as of yet...

It looks like a VZ-23, except for the crosspiece. The marking is probably the letters BFM in an arc, with the F being larger than the B and M. This would identify the Austrian firm of Berndorfer MaschinenFabrik. Let's see what AndyB says.

Marysdad is correct, the blade is M1895 made by Berndorf, the pommel was changed to Vz.23 configuration, but i dont believe its a czechoslovak upgrade, it could be a turkisch contract or turk rework. best regards,Andy
